    カナダ・モントリオールを拠点に活躍する碓井雅史と実力派トリオによるスペシャルセッション

    今年はなんとオープニングアクトに名古屋が誇る全国一の高校生ビッグバンド、Free Hills Jazz Orchestraが特別出演いたします。この演奏のために碓井が一時帰国の際に本場のエッセンスを伝授。特別指導を受けた子供たちがパワー全開でビッグバンドジャズを披露いたします。
    そしてメインステージでは、本場カナダから逆輸入、圧倒的な音楽観と極上の音色で数々の現地大物プレイヤーとの演奏活動を繰り広げる碓井雅史と日本屈指の実力派リズムセクションによる心の奥底に響く大人のアコースティックジャズをお届けします。今回は去年のアンケートにもお答えしてスタンダートナンバーも含め、会場内を本場カナダのJAZZ一色にします。是非お友達をお誘いの上ご来場ください。

    Originally from a small village in the south of France and raised in Connecticut, Laura is influenced by her parents’ gypsy jazz and classical backgrounds. At just 22 years old, she has made a big impression on the Montreal Jazz scene within the last year. She participated in the Montreal Jazz festival and Zones Musiques project last summer and performs regularly at local jazz bars around the city. She has plans to record and tour with her band in the near future. Her style branches from traditional jazz roots, some of her idols include Carmen Mcrae, Sarah Vaughan, Peggy Lee, Anita O’Day, Chet Baker and Blossom Dearie. Benjamin Goron wrote: “An amazing talent is born halfway between Julie London, Helen Merrill and Cyrille Aimée”

    Alex Bellegarde’s dynamic Tuesday jam session has become one of Montreal’s hippest weekly jazz events. The first set fires up with Bellegarde and his trio, playing host to a range of well known talents from the Montreal scene as well as musicians from out of town. The jam opens in the second set, to any jazz musician with the confidence to step up and play…there’s an unspoken rule though: “If you can’t keep up, you shouldn’t be on stage”. A great place to play and chill…. the jam continues on into the early hours!
